The Id and Superego Complex

My A-level Coursework. It's meant to represent the mind. The animals are the embodiment of the primal, instinctual nature of the Id complex. The figures representing the Super Ego and conformity of society.

This particular piece shows a mind under the Id complex, the figure animalistic whilst the opposing figure of the super ego fades into the background.

The represent the lack of physicality and the containment of these opposing forces, the canvas acts like a container, closing the characters in in a confined space.
